Golf Cart Inspection and Pre-Operation Checklist
Visually inspect exterior and interior for damages; remove any trash or debris
If any damage is found, report it immediately to the Manager on Duty
Ensure cart is unplugged and free from obstructions
Check parking/emergency brake
Check headlights and brake lights
Check battery gauge to ensure at least ¼ charged
Inspect tires for proper inflation and excessive wear
Press upper section (where applicable) of brake to apply the parking brake
Press lower section (where applicable) of brake to release the parking brake
Place foot on brake, insert key into ignition, turn key to start and:
Drive short distance and make controlled stop to ensure proper brake operation
Come to a complete stop anytime when changing from forward to reverse
End of Operation Checklist
Turn off cart and lights and remove key (whenever cart will be left unoccupied)
Plug in vehicle for charging
Inspect and clean cart, removing all trash
Report any incidents, maintenance issues or accidents to Manager on Duty
Golf Cart Guidelines
Use the cart in a responsible manner; obey the Village speed limit (10 mph) and all traffic guidelines
Wear low-heeled, closed-toe shoes
Do not use headphones, cell phones or text while operating a golf cart
Do not pass other vehicles
Drive only on the road, using the right side only; refrain from driving on the Avenue of Angels, sidewalks or paths unless authorized and necessary
Ensure designated number of passengers are in appropriate seats; passengers must not stand or sit in cargo areas.
Ensure at least one adult family member is accompanying all children. Children must have an adult seated with them when they are in the rear facing seat.
Yield the right of way to pedestrians
All passengers must be properly seated with arms and legs inside the cart
All items must be properly secured to the cart prior to operation
After stopping your vehicle, be certain to engage the parking brake and take the key with you.
When driving any vehicle at night or in low light, you must operate with the lights on at all times and use extra caution
Place arrival bags (gift and orientation) either in rear luggage area or on back seat. Do not place on front floor board or seat.
