ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

In consideration for my being permitted by Amazing Ski and Snow People, Inc., a Utah non-profit corporation, and Alta Ski Lifts Company, a Utah corporation (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”), to participate in the Groundhog Day Ski Race, I agree to the following acknowledgment and assumption of risk:

I know that skiing is an action sport carrying significant risk of serious personal injury, death or property damage. I also know that there are natural and environmental conditions and risks, which independently or in combination with my activities may cause property damage, or severe or even fatal injuries to others or me. I am voluntarily participating in competitive events and/or training at Alta Ski Area with full knowledge of the inherent risks, hazards and dangers involved and hereby assume and accept any and all risks of injury, paralysis or death to myself and others and any and all property damage. I hereby certify that I am fully capable of participating in said activity.

I currently have, and I agree to maintain throughout the time that I train and compete, valid and sufficient medical and accident insurance. I understand that this is my sole responsibility and release the Indemnified Parties from providing this coverage for me.

This Acknowledgement and Assumption of Risk shall be binding upon my heirs and assign.

I HAVE CAREFULLY READ, CLEARLY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND AND VOLUNTARILY SIGN THIS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND ACCEPT THE CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES DESCRIBED ABOVE.
